On 4 October 2026, Trapstar Games told players Hood Warfare 2 was dropping that Thursday, 10/8, and pointed them at a wishlist. On 8 October 2026 the game went live.
The release note keeps the spelling comin and is signed Trap$tar. It says more updates are coming.
Release day is 8 October 2026, the same day the game went live. The Thursday notice is four days earlier. Hood Warfare, the earlier Trapstar Games game, reached players on 26 January 2023 as app 2274510.
The introductory offer ends 15 October. The US numbers are a $5.99 list price and a $5.39 buy price, a 10 percent discount. The package id is 1784999. The game is not free.
What launch does not change
Launch did not add a seventh mode or a fifth named map. You still have six modes and the four Chicago names. You still set sights, magazines, grips, suppressors, and other attachments, plus perks and equipment, before a match.
Windows remains the only platform. The minimum OS is still Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 or newer, and the recommended OS is still Windows 11. Check the PC page if the drive space or the RAM is the open question.
Reviews can move after launch week. At launch week the score is Very Positive, from 90 positive and 21 negative reviews, 111 total. No achievement set and no downloadable content shipped with the game.
When you are ready to play, buy on Steam if you have not, confirm the PC, then start a match in the game. Online with friends, or bots, then a map, a mode, and the match settings.
